Here’s a cut of twenty five videos I shot at 8 Point Art Cafe, Kollam, from 2015 to 2017. Thank you all for your support.
Here’s the third and last video of Mittayi Theruvu 2017, featuring Sara Andreis of Italy, accompanied by musician Ratheesh Eetillam, showing children how to make beautiful puppets from coconuts.
Here’s the second video of three I made, also in Malayalam, on Subid Ahimsa‘s session with children at 8 Point Art Cafe, Kollam, narrated by Sasikumar Vallikkatte. Subid makes ingenious toys from trash and has a calm and quiet way of dealing with children. At a time when the whole world is trying to figure out how to deal with the waste humans generate, Subid’s work is of great importance particularly in Kerala where consumerism is going overboard.
Here’s the first video in a series of three I made on Mittayi Theruvu 2017, a summer camp for children, organised by 8 Point Art Cafe, Kollam, featuring origami education by Suvarnan Paravur. This also serves as an introduction to the camp.
Here’s my video of VK Sasidharan’s poetry recital at 8 Point Art Cafe, Kollam.
Here’s my video of Gauri Gandhi’s solo exhibition at 8 Point Art Cafe, Kollam, where she talks about her art and what inspires her wonderful work.
Krishna is an old friend and IMO among the best artists of his generation from Kollam. Here’s my video of his solo exhibition which also has visuals of the art workshop he conducted for children where they had to draw with their eyes closed listening to various kinds of music.
